I've moved the fender liner forward and did some minor trimming of the front bumper. I don't have any rubbing at all on the front bumper. With it flexed out and turned just right, I get some rubbing on the rear of the front fender. I'm gonna try to increase caster and take care of this. An aftermarket bumper would have no impact since it's not rubbing on the bumper.

This pic shows where it's rubbing. Haven't had any issues on the passenger side, it's only the driver side. It rubs on the street even, so definitely going to have to do something about it before another trip off road.

Ah gotcha. You think youd still be having the same rubbing if you had a 1" bodylift or 1.5? or would it even matter? based off your pics looks like a close call if the 1" or 1.5 would make enough of a difference.

The 1.5" would most likely take care of it, I just really don't feel like doing the install. I barely was able to get the 1/2" pucks in. I'm going tohave my alignment checked, may be able to increase caster enough to prevent this. Also considering swapping the 1.25" spacers for 1" ones. Very minor difference, but may be just enough.
I'm ready to wheel, just haven't had time. Hopefully we can go someone soon.

@ASR, I was only rubbing on my driver side aswell I'm sitting at close to 3.5"-3.75" of suspension lift with the same UCA's you have Im just still running the HD OME strut towers in the front. I put in the RB 1.25 BL last week and since then the rubbings gone. The whole kit from RB is $173.00 shipped from 4crawler offroad. Up until now i've always been completly against body lifts but it really did give me some gains, took out the rubbing without a body mount chop(thought i was rubbing the BM but it was just the same fender area you showed), gave room to mount the slidders im gettin, up higher, and it looks like i can modify the gas tank straps to raise the gas tank slightly and gain a little more center ground clearance. the install took about 3 hrs. from start to finish with added beer breaks lol. I noticed you say you were at 4" of lift how much travel up front are you getting with those OW's I like my stiff OME's I run without a sway bar daily and have no issues what so ever but the travel up front sucks even with the sway bar removed (it got better by removal but not by much) My rear axel tracks/flexes/travels great with the OME HD's coils and shocks back there just need to get my front flexin better.

Great to hear the 1.25" body lift solved it for you. I may go that route, haven't decided yet. At least I know it will be worthwhile if I decide to do it. I haven't measured travel with the OW kit. I have been too busy to even get off road since the install. I'm currently at 3.5" suspension and .5" body lift. I'll try to get some measurements and post them up.

Ive got mine set at 3.5" lift, which is the max recommended height with either kit. I have no plans for aftermarket bumpers, so the 2.0 was my choice. The 2.5s are only needed if youre adding over 100 pounds of weight. Still very happy with the 2.0. There is a lot more room for adjustment on the shocks, but any higher would really put stress on the front end components.

Haven't made any progress lately. Both of my front CVs had torn boots so I replaced those with OEM, but no other changes. I'm looking into some recovery gear and a speedohealer to get my speedometer corrected.I probably won't have much more in the near future.

Well, it seems every time I think I'm done something else comes up. I found a good deal on a OW 2.0 rear kit to match my fronts. I'm planning to convert the RAS in the upcoming weeks. I did go ahead and install the shocks. Here's a couple pics for now, I'll provide a detailed write up when I get the coils installed.

Hopefully it'll help. I really think I'll like the coils, the air bags are just too stiff with as much air as I'm running. I haven't adjusted the front yet, just getting the right pressure in the tires has really helped.

Mainly just a mind thing, I wanted to match my front setup. The OW are the same length but are beefier and I like the ability to rebuild/revalve if necessary. I will say the OW are noticeably stiffer off the truck, not a big change in ride. I can compress the Bilsteins by hand, can't on the OW

Nice looking rig all the way around and a great setup... FYI, like the balloons too. I can't wait to pick up my new to me Runner so I can install my FJ coils, 5100's and spacers. After reading your posts and looking at your build, looks like I'll have to do a body lift to fit 285's this Fall. Please correct me if I'm wrong, the body lift doesn't look like it makes a huge visual difference compared to doing body lifts on older trucks where the frame shows up more.

Thanks! That's one reason I went with the 1/2" instead of a 1" or 1.5", didn't want the frame showing and any noticeable gaps. Depending on the tire, you may be able to fit the 285's. Most say they fit with a 3" lift and some trimming. I was hoping to avoid trimming by going higher on the lift but even at 4" it wasn't enough. Looking back, the trimming is minor and not a big deal so I wouldn't worry about it.
