I'm at that wonderful point where my 17" Dunlops are shot. They did ok up in the Minnesota winters, but that was probably more of a credit to the vehicle than the tires. I don't need off-road tires, but I want something a little more aggressive than all-seasons. I'm in Maryland now and winters here can range from absolutely no snow all the way to 2 foot blizzards. I want something that I don't have to worry about in rain, snow and slushy conditions. I take it pretty easy on the roads, so highway performance doesn't need to be anything insanely great. The Dunlops were fine in that respect.
Naturally I am looking at the Revo's, since that seems to be the all-around choice. I also had Sam's Club order a set of Cross-Terrains, but they seem kind of expensive. It's a real pain to find these 17" tires. If a shop has them, they are Dueler HT's or Dunlops. NO ONE has Revos'. Firestone can get them by Tuesday, or I can get them from Tire Rack and have them in about 2 days.
Am I missing anything? Any sleepers out there?
