Got my first scar. Damn post in the middle of nowhere! :redbrick: :happens: I popped the dent out. I'm going to try and buff what I can out and see how it looks in the morning.

Hopefully it will all come off... Try using "StarBrite Black Streak Remover" before you try to buff or anything else... It breaks down tar, paint, oil deposits with little effort...

That really sucks! I pulled into a parking space this week and bumped a pole. That was my first ding in my bumper. Took a couple days to get over it. Luckily there wasn't much damage to my bumper. I hope yours buffs out because I know how much it hurts to damage a new(er) vehicle.

Sorry to hear! My first scar was earlier this week. No dents, just scuffed up paint (no more than 4" x 4" worth). The body guy at the dealer wanted $800 to fix it! I'll see his spot repair guy on Monday and see if I can get a cheaper option.

But yes....it sucks bad to get your first ding!

Sh*t happens! If it makes you feel any better I rear ended someone 6 weeks after getting my 4R. Busted up everything below the hood $3,000 worth of parts and labor. Thank god for insurance!

Did some work on her this morning! After a bit of buffing and rubbing and buffing and polishing and waxing, this was the best I could do. There were some deep gouges in a few spots. All in all, I'm satisfied with the results. I really don't notice it until I'm up real close or looking for it. I'm going to talk to my insurance agent to see if they'll fix it without me having to pay my deductible. It's not much, but I rather the money go into something else. I'll just count this as a battle scar #1 and go do some off-roading.

Even if you don't have to pay a deductible, won't your premium go up for a minor accident?

Looks pretty good to me. I used to have similar battle scars on the front air dams when I drove cars.

I'd leave it (and your insurance premium) alone now. You won't even notice if you wind up driving through some brush
