abnormal amount of rust underneath

Have an '04 Runner with about 45k miles on it. Bought it with 39k miles. While changing the oil the other day, I couldn't help but notice rust all underneath of it. Now when I checked it out, I didn't really think much of it or it really didn't stick out to me all that much.

However, I was up under my Tacoma the other day and hardly have none. My Tacoma has been through a lot of wheeling trips in the mountains with TTORA, and even on the beach with some salt water.

When I did the CarFax on the Runner, the previous owner was from New Jersey.

Question is: Can I take this to the dealer to see what they say? I believe the rust is covered for 80k miles if I recall.

Rust through... Not surface rust. It depends on how well the previous owner took care of it. If they did not wash it often during the winter, you will see a lot of surface rust.
