? about bigger tires no lift

I'm due for new tires and was thinking of going from 265/65-17 to 265/70-17. I have an '04 2wd Sport V6. The tires i'll be getting are Nitto Terra Grapplers. Will I have any issues with clearance/rubbing? Would you recommend this upsize, or should I just play it safe and go with oem size?

I used the tire size calculator from the sticky above and it warned that you should not do more than 3% change in tire size from stock. This would be a 3.3% change. What's the warning for?

If you don't have a particular reason to go bigger, then you should stick with stock size. I doubt you will have rubbing issues, but I'll leave that up to someone who runs that model in that size to comment.

i have a 2004 and is in the same position as you. i am also thinking of getting that specific tire. I personally want bigger profile tires just for looks but dont know if it will fit.

i have an 06 and just got the nittos. awesome tire so far but only had them since last wed. i did upsize mine to the 70's and have no rubbing at all, but it is an 06. love the way they look

Paraordnance has 255/75/17's with no lift. In addition to the 265/70 option those work too. The only 265/70 reported to have any rubbing is the BFG A/T. It has a very 'square' shape and will rub the UCA (upper control arm) lightly when the wheel is cut all the way.
