? about BMW lifetime trans fluid

I would like to know from the guys who own or who have owned BMWs with the lifetime trans fluid, how long exactly does the fluid last, is it suppost to be changed at 100k or 150k or is it the life of the car, I ask this cause Toyota has just put lifetime fluid in the 5speed 4Runner

Don't know...i am not planning on keeping my BMW past 100K (which is when the engine warranty runs out).

In my opinion, nothing is "lifetime." I would change it more often...just to be on the safe side...at least every 75-100K miles.

Im with you on the nothing is lifetime, but is their a mileage point at which BMW says it is time to change the fluid.

My friend has a 528 and at 60k no problems but he plans to trade in soon, also their was a guy who had some work done to his car at the dealer and they recommended he have the fluid changed cause he messed it up miss shifting and it was 40 bucks a quart at the time but this was when the car was brand new.
