About to buy a 99 4Runner

My wife and I are about to buy a 99 4Runner (2wd) for 9400, one owner, and only has 67,000 miles on it, excellent condition, Do think im getting good deal or getting had.

By the original poster stating the the vehicle is in 'excellent' condition I would imagine that all of your points have already been answered by him. I think he is just wanting to know if the price for the year vehicle is the going price etc... ?

Yes, but the problem is that it's really very difficult to flat out answer an "is this a good buy?" without a lot of additional information. It depends so much on all the circumstances and details. (SR5 vs. Limited trim, geographic location, dealer vs. private party, just to name a few.) Nothing at all against the original poster, but it's difficult to accurately advise someone when they only describe the entire situation in two or three sentences.

And in the end, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks - the buyer needs to convince his/her self that they're getting what they want. Hopefully knowing the system and where to find the definitive answers can help with that.

sorry about that, It is a base 4 runner, 1999, with 67,000 miles, Carfax report came back clean, it is a local car, ( i know where the dealership is located that it was originally purchased). It also is 2wd, with what i would assume is the base 4runner setup,(radio, ac, etc), and what apprears to be fairly new michelins. The dealer wanted 10,999, but i got them down to 9400. The low mileage is what attracts me the most. I'm in NC where the weather is pretty mild.

Yeah, $9400 is just under Blue Book value for the '99 base model from a dealer. Sounds like a decent buy. Obviously 2WD won't be any good in snow, but if the weather is mild that shouldn't be a problem.
