About to buy one! thoughts?

Hey!
Have been an avid reader on the forum this summer while I was supposed to be ahem.. working.

But now I am back in school and in need of a vehicle.

Here it is:

1990 Toyota 4Runner

Bear in mind that this is canadian pricing, and prob a little high compared to the states. It seems like a pretty good deal out here though, so I am really wondering what I should be mindful of when i go take a look.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Wow that thing is clean. You're lucky to find a 22re 5spd. Just look for the usual things... leaks, brakes, tires, any knocking or funny noises from the engine. Also ask about when the timing chain was done. Check every electrical device to make sure they work. Good luck with the purchase.

I recently bought a 22RE 5spd 2-door for $1400, I've already put about $600 into it and it has a long way to go! If I had been on the west coast and seen that I would have snapped it up in the blink of an eye! Beautiful truck!

boy, that's a real find, very nice. I think that if you can aford it buy it. The fact that it's a turn key truck that needs nothing is worth it...Good luck

Dang! thats quite a find a 22re with a 5 speed and it looks to be in amazing condition i have a 89 22re auto its a little on the slow side but let me tell you those cars will outlast pretty much anything if you take care of it, mine has 200k and it still running strong i say go for it happy shopping
