I think im going for this 2002 4runner sr5, black exterior, leather seats, 4wd, 91k miles, sport edition, its at a used car dealership. they are asking $9995. exterior and interior looks clean. havent seen it in person yet. not sure if the 90k mile service including timing belt is done yet. what you guys think, whats a fair price? thanks for all the replies. Also while at this, according to kbb, 2001-2002 4runners have front and rear disc brakes. well i think thats not true according to some pictures i just saw at this 4runner forum. the rears are drum brakes for all 3rd gen 4runners. am I correct? I wish im wrong.
About to get a 4runner, Need advise.

it is correct that you should have rear drums on the 2002 4Runner.
Another thing... I have a white 4Runner and a Black Audi... BLACK IS A *****!! To Keep BLACK!!! Yes it looks very good after about 3-4 hours of wash & wax; It shows everything. I use "Black Box" 3 stage treatment. Just wash N wax the white one. FYI :violin:

An 02 Sport with Leather? That strikes me as odd.
Post up some pictures when you can.
Keep in mind it's a dealer, don't be afraid to haggle with them. I'd offer them $6,000 cash, see what they have to say. I'd be willing to pay $7,500-$8,500 if it's CLEAN with NO rust and the services have been done. And the tires were good.

why not? maybe special ordered. price wise, im thinking no more than 8500.

Go lower than 8 man... I generally offer 30% less than they're asking. I've had good luck with that...
that's the number i was thinking, 8k include tax, cash. most i can offer is 8500 include tax, but if i really like it and if its really in nice condition, max 9000.
