ABS/Brake Clicking

Hey guys, I just bought an 06 sport and I have a problem/question.

They apparently just put new brakes on the car, and they feel pretty good. It snowed a bit this week, and if i brake on snow or ice not even that hard, they click and i THINK the ABS goes on and it starts to slide. is that normal? do these trucks have a really hard time slowing down in the snow? There is a LOT of clicking in the pedal.

IMHO you're expecting too much and going to fast. It sounds like your system works normally. The 'go' and handling part of the T4R is really good due to the 4wd, VSC etc. Stopping is basic physics. T4R brakes are no better or no worse than any others*.

I'd look hard at your brand/model of tire and inflation. What your experiencing is 'normal' based on what you're describing.

Remember with ABS just keep pushing steady on the pedal and let the engineering geeks and all thier technology work for you. I think it's all great.

*I do wish there was a cut-out or something to help with below about 10-15mph on the slippery stuff. It seems like the ABS is almost too sensitive below 10-15mph but it will stop you.

that's EXACTLY what i'm talking about. OK. i was worried that i am going to have to bring it back.

i push so lightly and it comes on. do you think if i apply more pressure it will be more effective?

thanks a lot

Mine seems to become more effective but it takes quite a push. In all fairness note that I am a Florida boy for now... Most of my ABS experience with the T4R is in sand, sand on pavement, a slick spot of wet pavement or hard dirt etc...
