im pretty sure your 97 is different from the fuse box on my 2000 but fwiw there were 4 plastic keeper tabs securing the inside part of the fuse box to the outside case part of the box. when i first tried, i removed the whole box from the engine compartment only to find that i still had to get the inside part out of the outside. in hindsight i didnt even need to remove the box from the engine compartment. once you get the inside part out and expose the bottom of the fuse box the fuse was secured in there by 2 screws. hope that helps and sorry bout the shady description, i just had knee surgery yesterday so the meds are doing me well :)

WOW THIS IS OLD. thanks for searching. I actually found out how to remove the fuse. you have to loosen the entire fuse box, then there are two small bolts holing the fuse in (8mm i think). The bolts also hold the wires to the fuse, so I disconnected one side, ran it to a switch in the dash, and back the the fuse. Bolted it all together and now have ABS ON A SWITCH
