ABS Light came on

I just got back to the Cape from my 500 mile round trip weekend back to NY for the weekend. I had the timing belt, water pump, and rear shocks replaced. What a huge difference KYB shocks make over monroe. Anyway I had the work done at a mechanic my family has used for 14 years. I got the truck back and my ABS light is on now. I looked under the truck assuming it could be the speed sensor..nothing leaks and I checked the brake fluid. I need to get the car inspected and it probably won't pass with the ABS light on. I did get 21mpg highway driving..Not too shabby. -Karl

Check the basics like connections. Mine had a loose connection causing the same lite, pressed it in and gone... Luck.

Check to make sure the brake fluid in the master cylinder is full/ full. The abs light in both my Tacoma and 4runner comes on when the fluid is down even just a tiny bit.
