ABS Questions

I just wanted to see if this was a normal occurrence for everyone else before I tried to fix something that wasn't broken. Basically my 4runner will lose the majority of its braking if it hits a bump while braking. Let's say they are doing road work and I start braking on smooth pavement and then drop off slightly to where its been ground up or washboard, my braking ability is almost gone. If I brake on the good surface, let off and then rebrake once I'm on the other surface then its normal. Is it just that the system sees any interruption as a possible lock up and reacts?

ABS issue, bump or once engaged

Brakes Giving out

5th Gen Brake Failure - 17 TRDP

I've read a couple threads on this, the last one I linked is fairly long.

Its mostly normal I think.

Yea those threads sound like the same thing I experience. So long as I know the road or see the bumps I can mostly prepare for it to happen but its still a pain. Its the times I dont see the issue in the road that causes the problem. I can see though how it may simulate a situation for ABS so the system would be working as intended.
