Accessory port/charging q's/issues

new to this 04 4runner that i have. coming from a 2010 tt fj.

i drive for work and must use an inverter.

ive been using a 175w one and it proved to be too strong.

i went a picked up a lower rated one to use solely for charging my laptop for work.

i would like to use the rear 12v port, but i am having an issue.

it powers the inverter, i can hear it, and it will come on for a few minutes, but then does no charge the laptop. the one up front seems to work just fine (although i will test it at length today) and was wondering if any of you experienced the same thing........

any input would be appreciated.

Ok, the main 12v port in the console works just finely appears that the rear one is the issue. Is it rated lower or something? Like I mentioned above, the inverter powers up, but the computer doesnt receive a charge.
