accident yesterday -- need new tail lights

some all-star decided that fumbling for his cigarettes was more important than watching the road and rear ended me yesterday. he swerved at the last minute so he managed to save his little nissan sentra from my trailer hitch. Aside from the bumper and quarter panel that will be completely replaced, i also need new tail lights.

looking on ebay i see a couple different types that fit my 97 ltd.
Euro Altezza in white, black, or carbon, some brandless all clear ones, or just OEM. Any recommendations? oh, my body color is anthracyte.

just get the oems. IMO, I like the red/white more than altezzas.

yea, oem's are the best. id upgrade to the 01+ ones though, since its on his dime.

I have an anthracite 4runner with the black altezzas made by TYC, they're pretty sweet looking. It looks pretty solid with the paint too.

If you want, I can try to get a picture for you tomorrow to let you see how it looks. Just let me know.

Decided to go out and take some pics of my taillights. Excuse the truck being a little dirty and one of the shots is pretty blurry for whatever reason. Also, in the second pic, you can see where my genius friend put a dent in my truck around the gas tank by peeling out of a parking lot and sent rocks flying. The window above the dent was also replaced cause it shattered.

i gotta tell you, it is beautiful up here right now. all the snow they got that last storm (about 14"), is still snow white, but melting fast. the grass is showing in south facing spots, and the birds are starting to come around. but then again, there are flowers coming up in waltham. i noticed them on wed. morning on my way to the truck. about 4" out of the mulch already. spring is almost here! you know what that means....clean trucks!!!!

update

Grand total is $1695 in damage to my truck. his sentra probably has double that. i sure hope this dude has a $1000 deductable b/c he deserves to be paying out the butt for his stupid mistake. enough ranting.

after talking to a guy in a parts shop and hearing him tell about how he stopped selling altezzas because "they look good for a month, then they leak and get all foggy and i was sick of sending them back under warranty," i've decided to stick with the OEMs. thanks for all the suggestions. best part though is that i am getting a brand spanking new center bumper piece which is awesome b/c after this past winter, mine was beginning to rust through in a couple spots.
