Add a circuit for Sirius onyx?

I've used the search and read every add a circuit thread there is, but they don't show exactly what I need to know.

How does the Sirius radio hook to the add a circuit? Sorry if this is a dumb question. Electronics aren't my thing and I am just trying to avoid the bulky power cord to the cigarette lighter.

You can get a fuse tap and put it in the fuse slot for the radio then you can run the wires behind the dash but if you are planing more electronics in your dash you can run a auxiliary fusebox and a relay to give it power on acc
