Add a leaf for my 88

Hi all, Im about to put a BDS
add a leaf kit On my 88 4 runner.
Sick of looking over loaded while
ther is nothing in the truck. (and
bottoming out.
Any hints, tips or suggestions ?

It'll make the ride rougher, you may want to consider a replacement spring pack.

Do what I did. Get a used set of 4runner springs and install a few of them. You will need to cut a few and get longer u bolts and a longer bolt that goes through the center to hold them together. You will want to add an extension to your brake adjuster so the front/rear adjustment is where it should be. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, and didn't cost very much. Also, the ride was much better.

I have personally used Downey's add a leaf and the ride quality was very good. Just my $.02
