Well, i recently got a call from a neighbor that owns a shop about a 98 4runner that one of his customers had brought in for him to look at. The customer had hit something in the front and apparently thought he could make it home with a busted radiator. Well, he didn't make it. Anyway, I bought it for $400.00. It is a 98 4x4 SR5 with 209,000 on the clock. It's pretty clean overall with the exception of it needing a hood, bumper, and grill. So then my search began to find a good engine. I was looking for a wrecked one that still ran that I might could get some other parts from. I happen to run across one a couple weeks ago on craigslist. A 99 that had been wrecked but still ran and drove great. The guy was asking $1,000 for it. I offered him $600 and didn't hear anything back for a couple weeks. I waited it out and then offered him $700 on Friday. I went and picked it up yesterday.
