What was the installation like? Is everything behind the mirror or do you have to take off the door panel? TIA

I DL'd the instructions and you have to take apart the door panels and mirrors. It isn't a quick install but maybe if you decide to change your speakers one day you could do this at the same time.

I like the signal mirrors, pretty cool!

That was the cost for the heated ones. The non-heated ones were $219 I think.

BTW I'm getting all this info off the link that was provided.

I had a shop do the install took them 1hr 45 min.

Link for installation

Door panels were removed to access wiring.

You can still use the heated option only if you had the heated option to begin with.

Heated mirrors are $265.00
Non-heated mirrors are 219.00

Warranty 3yrs. 36000 miles

How much did the install cost?
I think you posted somewhere that off-roaders would think it a waste but I think it's great!

That looks like a great weekend project and the results are really nice. Good choice in mod....gotta scrape together some extra cash for those myself now!!

Nice mod.. wondered when they'd be released. They also have upgrade kits for the lights for aux brake lights, reverse strobe, passenger door open, etc: http://www.kwmuth.com/products/smupgrades.htm

Does anyone know if the wiring harness for heated mirrors is already in place on vehicles w/ non-heated mirrors? (ie; the factory just didnt connect them to the non-heated mirrors?) I assume they'd run off the standard rear window defroster. (obviously, one would have to purchase new mirror housings for them to work)

I had a vehicle where front speakers weren't standard, but the wiring harnesses were already in place. Just added some speakers and voila. Plug and play.

I emailed MUTH CO. tech support about wiring harness, will let you know their response
