Addicted Off-road rear bumper

Need advice. I ordered a rear bumper from Addicted Off-road and the quality control was not up to par. It did not have a plate welded in to fill the gap between the bumper and the hatch (4” gap), the hitch pin would not fit and I did not receive the mounting hardware. I reached out to Addicted Off-road via e-mail (3 times) and phone (multiple times) and have received no response. I had to pay a local fabricator $100 to weld in a plate for me and re-drill the hitch pin hole. All I asked them to do is reimburse me the $100 to complete their work. Do I have any recourse or do I just chalk it up as bad customer service and just never order from them again?
Since it took over 3 months to receive the bumper it’s too late to file a dispute with the credit card company.

not generally one to complain myself but that is pretty bad.
I'd light em up with reviews and let em come to you.

Works some of the time, i had a doctor that charged me for a surgery on my finger when i smashed it and he literally just glanced at it and told me the ER did a good job. left a wordy yelp and google review and he personally called me to apologize and remove the charge.

hate that it has to come to that sometimes these days but you know what they say about squeaky wheels

You me two others I know have had problems with their products this year, small percentage of customers for sure. Seems as we all got the no response response.

No response? They want to provide poor quality and ignore upset customers? Very simple solution, take it up with your bank, credit card company, paypal, however you paid for it. That'll likely get their attention.

I have there front and had to enlarge the mounting holes also. They do require slight fabrication skills to install and they charge about $100 for install anyways.

I also don't think they are designed with that plate either that you had welded in.

Mine, ordered April 2017, does in fact have a plate welded there where his has a gap. I also had to drill out my hitch pin holes. The owner of AOR seems pretty arrogant to me in the messages I’ve exchanged with him in the past, good luck with that $100. Chalk it up as a lesson learned, and move on.

I tried contacting them, multiple phone calls and e-mails went unanswered.
They are designed with the plate. They say so on a thread in this forum and it’s also on their web-site. There should have been no fabrication skills required to install the rear bumper as it goes exactly where the hitch went. They couldn’t even drill out the hitch pin hole right.

No you don’t have it right. I paid over $700 for a bumper. It was delivered missing the plate and the hitch pin hole had to be drilled out. I had to pay a local fabricator $100 to fix everything. I’m trying to get Addicted Off-road to refund the $100 I had to pay my local fabricator to fix their bumper.

I have front also, love the look, had to elongate mounting holes to get gap correct, was expected. Right side formed steel had ripples all over from forming
using a dirty brake. Filler skim coat fixed it, know it off-road bumper, color matched/cleared stuck out like sore thumb. My OCD I guess, for $900+ wasn't happy.

I’m glad I went with Shrockworks for my front bumper. I got it last week and had my local fabricator install it for me. He was also impressed with Shrockworks.

I think he is trying to say he will fix it. He has been a long time fabricator for toyotas and usually makes good with his customers. When I picked my bumper up years ago it was literally a two man show. Other than lead times he is known for a good product.
