adding a new sub + amp questions in 03

is there a way to maybe splice into the audio wires before the factory amp and just run speaker wire to the new amp and go from there? i am trying to avoid getting a new headunit and just want to see if anything like this is possible.

ummm maybe try to splice the left and rite audio with the left and rite rca cables um i would say shave a seciton of wire and jus set the cut rca ones on the line tht way if they dont work you can just wrap the factory wires if they do thn jus splice away

I have a thread in the 4th gen section about adding the amp. It should be on the first or second page. I tapped the wires after the amp.
