Adding Bluetooth to '05 4Runner Limited

I just bought a Motorola T605 Bluetooth kit for my son's '05 4Runner. The car has factory nav and I am pretty sure its not an amplified JBL system which I gather is a limitation. If it works as advertised, it will provide integrated handsfree cell phone use and wireless connection for an iPod with the factory sound system.

Best Buy seems clueless as to how to install it even though I bought the unit there. They want to install the optional separate speaker.

Does anybody have any experience installing one of these units?

I'm not sure about the Motorola T605 you have but I do have a parrot CK3100 and Crutchfield was able to supply a plug and play harness. Using their harness, all I had to do was connect the harness and two power wires and it was done.

Thanks very much... I believe that the Parrot and Motorola units use the same wiring harness. I am fairly certain that it will work but Best Buy has caused me to second guess.

Does the Parrot unit have the ability to receive Bluetooth signals from your iPod as well?

I'm not sure if it is the same harness but you can get the correct one
here . No the iPod will not integrate but I wish it would. I'm looking at the Pioneer AVIC-F700BT to intergrate everything together.

Thanks for the additional information. If you don't already have your heart set on the Pioneer AVIC-F700BT and want a less expensive option to integrate your iPod with your factory audio system, you may want to check out the Motorola T605

I do have my heart set on that AVIC-F700BT. It's the right solution for me. BTW, where is the display for the T605?

I am sure you will be very happy with the Pioneer unit. There is no display with the Motorola T605. I have not focused on the operation of the unit yet. It was under $200 so I am sure its not very feature rich! The nice thing however is that it does support both Cell Phone and iPod integration.
