Adding homelink to SR5 5th gen?

Looked around on this and didn't find anything. Apologize if I missed it.
How easy is it to add home link?
I've seen a few posts on getting the aftermarket mirror and adding in, but I would prefer the factory location.

I have a 2014 SR5 and want to know the exact same thing. Does anyone know if I add a home link overhead console without a sunroof if this is pre-wired?

Programming is the easy part, but our 2014 doesn't have those buttons. I think OP was asking about adding that overhead console.

I Did It

I had to add this to mine, but the only way was to buy the entire overhead console.

It is plug and play, but finding one is expensive and hard to locate.

If I purchase an overhead console with the Homelink buttons, but without the DAC and A-TRAC (blanks), can I insert my buttons into the blank spots and have everything work? Or do I have to use an overhead console with all the buttons?

My wife worked a deal with the Toyota dealer who sold her the 4R. They had a local company that does all sorts of add-on work install what I call a Rear View Mirror Homelink System.

I was standing out front watching the goings on. Guy comes out with a screwdriver and the Homelink unit. I turned around to look at something else briefly; then turned back towards the 4R. He was walking away with only a screwdriver in his had.

It was installed in a blink - 2014 2WD SR5

Apparently there's not much to it.

Oh wow...

I had no idea :noidea: lol! Do none of the 2014's have and over-head "Momentary switch panel?" A photo of what's up there may be helpful since I have the 2013 4Runner wiring diagrams; I thought that, for the most part, the Gen-5 4Runners were 'electrically' the same!
