Adjustable Panhard/Track Bar is now available!

You guys also told me this bar is not needed and a waste of money. You told me to get a drop bracket which is more of a waste since it does nothing! I will purchase Steve's at $175.

I would disagree with that. The drop bracket does in fact help a lot with centering the axle and brings the panhard bar closer to level. The closer the bar is to parallel with the axle, the more effective it is at preventing the axle from moving from side to side. However for larger lifted applications, the bracket does not drop it quite enough to get the axle centered. I am running both the drop bracket and this panhard bar on my 3rd gen and i personally think that it is the best setup. Also, with this bar being DOM and having heims on both ends, it is MUCH stronger than the stock setup and will allow the axle to travel the most.

And just from that I wont buy from you guys. I mean come one, its nothing but a band aid. I like how you say it "helps". Why sell something that doesnt fix the issue, just "helps". Im done in here, not trying to be an ass, but you guys told me adjustable panhard bar is NOT NEEDED! I said I was going to run LC coils with 3.5-4" lift and the drop bracket would be enough. But now its not enough. You now told my best setup would be to get both. So to spend more money! If the panhard bar is adjustable why would the hell woudl I need to lower it!

haha tough customers huh Toytec?

I love these discussions, hopefully the pro's and con's continue to be debated and this doesn't turn to drama like so many other threads lately.

If the bar is closer to parallel with the axle, you will have less side to side motion from rear axle when you go over a bump. An adjustable panhard bar will do nothing to reduce/prevent that.

The drop bracket works perfect for the 3 inch lift(which is what we sell), For more than that, the axle will not be able to get perfectly centered. Hence the reason for the adjustable panhard bar.

Neither of these parts are needed. All of these parts are optional which is why they are not included in our kits. Sonoran Steel includes these parts with his setup because his kit includes the Landcruiser coils which give more than 3 inches of lift

We have 4 3rd gens in house that run the drop bracket and have zero issues.

I'm glad somebody came out with a better product than Sonoran Steel. I had mine for 4 years and I've had problems with it since day 1. The bushings are crap, and I've had to use duct tape to get it to not wobble around on the bolts.

If you want something as cheap as SS, then go to TSC, 'cuz your a hick for all im concerned.

The Toytec bar has heim joints and flexes better than the one from SS. I'm going to be replacing my panhard bar ASAP.

P.S. if you honestly think SS is better than this, pull your head out your ass. :toilet:

I like the idea of heims for better flex--and less binding. I know my stock bar was a pain in the rear to get back in when I installed my 8-wraps @ home by myself, I'm glad to add BOTH the drop bracket & panhard bar. Yes it's expensive, that's why I lifted my rig THEN waited to see if I still need it. I don't NEED it, but I'd like to not feel the side shift of the rear of my rig every time I hit a bump (and I DO feel it every time--annoys me). And the panhard setup is designed to work in a near-horizontal position, not @ an angle.

I have no dog in the fight, but the logic ToyTec is speaking of here just makes sense. Not that the SS bar is junk, but I prefer heims over bushings, & I'll drop $25 more for heims if I'm buying one. Just my 0.02 guys...

I never once said that the SS bar was better, just cheaper. I was just upset about the info I got through customer service. I told them I was going too run LC 7 wrap coils and they gave me the sales man approach. Saying I shoudl save my money and just buy there drop bracket.

Now you come in here like your big and bad. Thats real easy to do on a forum. Good job to you!

Got mine today. Quality looks great.

Thanks for the phone call letting me know the ship date, excellent customer service.

Why is everything on their site so expensive?? It's all priced at $99 increments too ... $99, $199, $299.
If you can built it to the SAME quality, and sell it for the same retail price or close to, then do, put up ot shut up. lol

do you know how much it cost to make one of those? most item on their site is priced pretty low, if you are not a fabricator yourself i suggest you do some more research before posting an comment like that. as for the 99s that is just basic marketing strategy.
Very well said...

IMHO, its NOT "needed" but its very nice to have IF you wheel it, if you are a pavement princess then dont worry about.
Id like to know if you have any proof, that anyone at Toytec, told you something they sell was a waist of money, do you have anything to back that statement up ??? ot just trying to make them look bad?
Good luck the with SS stuff

You have the right to complain, and he has the right to tell you to shove it! I think you are getting twisted for no reason, but what do I know.

toytec might have said something that was taken wrong or misconstrued. but the point is that now they have added one more product to their line, that is superior to what is available currently. so what if they told you its not needed, big deal, maybe they meant the SS one is not needed because it still is limiting? did you go out and spend money on something that you didnt need? are you out any $$$? i dont think so, now you have an opportunity to buy a product that is the latest and greatest on the market, and you wont be losing any moeny on it. so i would say just buy the damn thing and be happy. toytec didnt screw you over, infact now they are tying to help clarify any confusion and offer a superior product. i know ill be buying one... -thanks toytec, you just set my lift back by $200+ -jerks lol

I think it looks like a great product. I'm on the fence of whether I need it or not even with the ultimate lift and 1.5" spacers. I'd like to have the adjustable LCA's and Panhard one day. But ahhhh it's been working for over a year with no issues. Maybe I'll change my mind after this weekend. I should have enough room to fully flex with these 35's by then. :bash::lol:

not sure why SS is taking such a beating lately. i've been running his lift and adjustable bar for a while and had zero issues.
the ride is great and he was nothing but helpful with me.
for years SS was the best place to go (at least that was the forum consensus) and now he gets trashed.

both sites offer great products. no need to go bashing one or the other....

ill never trash anyone that gives me straight up advice and answers my PHONE CALLS the first time and emails within 5 minutes. He's proud to use every TOYOTA part he can, thats good enough for me.

if one vendor sold it all then there would be no competition...

So to run this setup correctly you need the drop bracket with the reinforcing steel welded in place, and the adjustable PH bar? And this will make my rear flex like a mofo? Sound expensive... and where can you get the reinforcing metal cut outs that weld to the PH drop bracket you sell? I would think that you would sell that too.

If so, you should just bundle it all together.

No Dan!

Technically they are both OPTIONAL, neither are required.

For people running LC coils, the adjustable pan hard bar is going to be a better option because the Drop bracket was designed to work a 3" lift, and the LC coils give more than 3" of lift. I think this new Panhard bar is the ticket since it uses hiems instead of bushings. The bushings are put under a lot of stress when you are fully flexed.

I bought the panhard drop bracket and extended it a couple inches since I am running LC springs:

You want the panhard bar parallel to the ground (this is how it comes stock)

The cross brace is a good idea as well. Toytec does not sell metal for this, but any scrap should work just fine.

lol. I know that they are both optional, I'm running neither right now. I do notice that my axle is about 3/8in more to the passanger side of the vehicle.
What would be the best to fix that Jeff? I'm guessing all I really need is the drop bracket and reinforce it as necessary, right? That would fix my axle position.
If I added the adjustable pan-hand after that what is the gain... more flex in the rear? I wanna flex my booty like it's a booty pumpin party straight outta Hot-lanta.
