Adjusting auto mode headlight sensitivity and LED rear lights

I find that the thing is not sensitive enough. I'd like for it to turn on with a bit more daylight than it does now and also respond a bit quicker to tunnel situations. My old 2004 M3 did it perfectly and I'd like to replicate it.

Also, I like how on auto mode with headlights off the amber blinker lights stay on (2003 Limited V8 here). I recently replaced the rear lights with the LED factory ones. Is there any way to program the LED rear lights to be lit (brakes not applied brightness) on auto mode?

Do you guys know if adjustments are possible via Toyota computers or something to that effect?

I don't think how fast the lights come on in certain lighting conditions can be adjusted. The dealer can set how dark or bright lighting conditions are that will turn on the lights.

I do not know about Toyotas but my old Ford Thunderbird you could adjust the sensitivity of the lights coming on and off by a potentionmeter on the sensor in the dash. The sensor had to be removed for access to do this. Maybe the dealer would have a sensor in the parts department you could look at to see if it is adjustable.

Limiteds have the auto on/off functionality. It's not as simple as a stalk swap. There's also a light sensor on the dash by the driver side A-pillar on the dash.

the 4r is my daily driver.

i've always had a second weekend, no rain, gotta floss type car.

the M3's a nice compromise, but JK, shoot for the stars and get after a 911. you can't even begin to compare the two.

the M3 is a souped up commuter car.

the 911 is a dumbed down race car.

two very different approaches. two very different results.

i didn't make the distinction.

i wish i could adjust how quickly the lights reacted... it feems like an eternity when i hit a tunnel the lights on come.
