adjusting sunroof

did not find anything on the matter after a quick search,

mine will not close tight, it will close with the rear just 1 cm high. I have to press down to close the gap, but then it leaves some things to rattle inside, is there a way to adjust?

May just try a quick lube job first. Clean off old old lube as much as possible, then add the new synthetic stuff.

will try that.

but i was so tired yesterday did not explain good.

when i press the close button, the sunroof returns all the way, it closes and then ig goes up 1 cm, leaving a gap.

then i have to press the open button tapping it 2 or 3 times to close the seal and get it flushed.

any ideas?

Sounds like it it out of sync. It may require a tear-down and re-build. Not sure if anyone has a diy for that. Hope you don't have to go to the dealer.

I think it's a simple resync issue, just like wha would happen if you unplugged the battery. Do a search, and failing that I'd just turn the car to ON, press and hold the button as it goes all the way back (add 5 seconds) and then press and hold as it goes all the way forward (add 5 seconds) to see if that helps. If that doesn't help, get it close as possible to the closed position and pull the battery + cable for a minute.

:fro: check out the link read #2-6 thats how you adjust roof i had to adjust mine it would rattle from time to time and it would stick when i tilted it. now it works fine. loosen up the two screws on the sides but not all the way. you dont want the roof to fall out of alignment completely. just enough so you can move the roof up or down with your hands with a little bit of force then stand on a step stool or your running boards and adjust the moonroof from the outside then retighten the screws when you are satified with how it looks.
