haha, i actually was thinking of having it painted years ago when i first got the truck, then i got a chrome gator tag surround and decided to keep it.

they say chrome dont get you home but my trucks never left me stranded (knocking on wood now)

for the record, i dont believe option number 1 should even be on the poll, as admins and mods DO NOT enforce the rule about signatures, unless they all have sigs turned off and just dont see them

Admins & Mods should delete signatures at their own digression.

Toyota Nation has a cap on their signature.

We are all adults...if you can't play by the Admins & Mods rules, then it's time to move on.

before i came along and what, brought your attention to this matter? i suppose you dont really browse this board that often anymore, but look at any thread anywhere on this board and you will see the blatant disregard for others. sure, some of the trucks pictured look nice, but i dont care to see them every other post.

im not angry, i just am tired of it, i come here to find out what other people are doing to their trucks and interact with other toyota lovers, not see the same trucks over and over and over again.

Hint: i too am REALLY tired of people breaking forum rules and just being dealt a slap on the wrist, or not even being spoken too about it.

i think the mods need to enforce the rules and unfortunately if people are giving the opportunity to break the rules and not get punished the majority will at some point.

if this upsets you and you think im out of line then by all means, go ahead and ban me, but im pretty sure im not out of line, and something had to be done to get the mods attention, mission accomplished, the mods are now VERY aware of the issue and it has brought new users in to voice their opinions.

the ONE AND ONLY reason i have the two massive pictures up in my sig is to garner attention, as you said before, i have 6 days left before they must come down, and, unlike many other users i plan on following through with that, unless i am no longer a member by then.

either way, cant wait to see what the results are

Bottom line...if you do not like it here for whatever reason (e.g. how admins and mods are too lax), then please google another 4runner forum. There are plenty out there. If you need recommendation, then please PM me.

RunnerUP, if you continue to complain about the admins and mods, then i will ban you. Simple as that. I HAVE NO PROBLEM ENFORCING THE RULES on an annoyance. If you think that i am harsh, then take yourself out of this forum on your own accord.

Now, lets get back to watching the poll results...i love a close poll!

since i have seen several other people comment on this, i'm going to throw mine out there as well.

at the end of the day i really don't care if we can have sigs or not. I do find it use full for members to have a small pic/info to remember who the people are. I usually won't remember a name, especially when at least 50% have some version of 4runner in it.

As far as having the avatar, thats great, glad we can have a spot to check out peoples pets, political agendas, children, and even some 4runners, now if they were big enough to see any detail, we might get somewhere. Of course this could be why the giant sigs don't bother me 1400x1050 pixels on a 14.1" laptop screen means none of these images are really that big to me.

As far as people complaining about the content of the sigs, you have to remember EVERYONE has different tastes, and budgets. For some people it really does make them sick to look at a 4runner w/ amber corners, and there are some that will never have their 4runner on 3 wheels unless they are changing a 22" rim out..... If you really have no tolerance for every aspect of what can be done to one of these very versatile vehicles, then maybe this site isn't for you. I find it refreshing to at least not have 30 posts in a row regarding lift kits. While that can be informative, anything gets boring if you read about it enough.

and finally if some of this has been covered, i didn't read every post on here, i looked through the original thread on people complaining about sig size the other day, so i couldn't take going through this whole page.

I don't care what the content of sigs are as long as they are within the 10 line rule so if one wants tell us about previous vehicles they've owned,what their parents drive,their height or weight or even what air freshener is hanging from their mirror then it's their business.

I like how on Yotatech, you can have a link in your signature to your own personal gallery page. I usually read the mods of users, then if I am interested, I check out their personal gallery if they have a link.

That way, people can still post up pictures and the ones who WANT to see it can see it. Whenever I read threads here with large signatures that include pictures, I find it very distracting. For example, if the thread is a write up full of detailed instructions and pictures, I find the large signatures a huge annoyance as it ruins the flow of the write up.

yeppers, as Thai said... some on here do that already with their mods, its soooooo freakin sweet. eliminates the need for HUGE sigs, lol :biggrin2:

I'm sure some issues and ideas will be better achieved once the site is updated with newer BB software (we should have a donation drive and contribute like yotatech does sometime) which will happen eventually.

I too am glad to see a solid member participation in this so this site can improve on some things.

The other thing i forgot to touch on was the forum only showing the sig for the first post by that user per page. I know someone else brought this up in the other thread, but this ability would probably make things much easier. I know going back and forth it does get annoying to see the same sig 5 times on one page.

I am a member of about 6+ online forums, mostly Car Audio but then I have this one and Yotatech, I prefer this forum due to the variety here. I hasked a question one time on yotatch about lowering the 4runner and all I got was bashed. Here its about upgrades on an off road. If you asked a bout clear corners or where to buy 24" Rims on yotatech good luck being taken seriously, granted they are mainly an off-road site so good on them for that, and its good in its place.



Any way in reference to the sigs, On most og the other boards I am on they limit it to 10 lines or so that way you can have a pic of your rig and tell your equipment, and have links to pics/vids. I like pics in sigs I say we keep 'em

I forgot to add that photo bucket makes it SUPER easy to shrink/ crop photos so you can make them small enough to fit in your sig

I voted for the current situation. As long as those rules are enforced, which they aren't now, it would be ok. I do realize that that takes a lot of time and effort though.

Option two wouldn't be too bad either.
