Adventures in Didgy's TRDPro

I will stop lurking now and finally get around to my build thread. Bare with me on the pictures.
My wife and I traded in our Lexus IS a few months back for a 2016 TRDPro in quicksand. The wife loved super white but I have loved the quicksand color forever so she let me win.
Here she is the day we got her.

We had been in the jeep world before the Lexus and we had two extremely built up JKUR. I loved the Jeeps but they just weren't practical.
The 4R came with the cross rails, exhaust tip and sliding cargo tray. We made them also throw in the allweather mats since I hate carpet mats.

Added an iPhone mount when I got her home.

Also added a dog hammock for Didgy (short for didgeridoo) our Australian cattle dog, blue heeler, Queensland heeler, whatever you want to call her.

Next up was the CB install.

Canvasback liner came in for the back. Great quality product and handmade in the USA.

My wife and I are both active duty Navy so we don't have a ton of time off. But we did take some leave and made a visit to the sequoias and did Sherman pass and monach meadows. Then came back down to big bear and then over to Joshua tree national park. My buddy brought his taco out for the sequoias and big bear.
I will post more pics once I get them off the wife's camera instead of all these iPhone pics.

Looks like a lot of fun

Very cool TRDPro, dog and wife. I can't wait to get out and do some camping. If you're ever up in NorCal, give a shout to hit some trails.

Almost forgot, updated all the interior lights with LEDs and upgraded the headlights with HID low beams and LED high beams. Everyone on the road hates me.

Waiting to see about pelfreybilt having a sale one weekend this month they said. Looking to get their sliders. That and some skid plates are definitely next on my list of mods.
I'm extremely happy with the storage space in the rear. I pack two 45 action packers, a 65 RTIC cooler and my REI camp kitchen no problem.

Just need to fine tune the packing. Especially since the wife feels the need to pack ten extra blankets and jackets!

Thanks! I have lived in southern California my whole life and I think being up in the sequoia national forest is the furthest up I have been! We will definitely be headed up there more!

First of all congrats on the purchase, and great pics. Also, go Dodgers! How do you like the Rtic cooler? I keep wanting to get one.

So far so good. Identical to the yeti but half the price. Held four days of food and 7lbs of ice no problem. Everything stayed cold.

Congrats on the new T4R! I'm also in So Cal and am driving a magnetic gray 4X4 SR5 Premium.

Love the quicksand color, hope to see you around town AND go Dodgers go!!

Just in time for Christmas, all of the doggos camping stuff! Sleeping bag, sleeping pad, jacket, new collar and leash. Yes, she's spoiled.

Great family and truck you have there. :)

How do you like the Yeti clone cooler? I have a Yeti 45 but just bought an Rtic 30oz tumbler because the price and reviews were great...and looks identical to my wife's Yeti version. Will do a ice retention comparison at some point.

Love the RTIC cooler. The price is awesome. Of course I would love to have a fridge one day but for a couple hundred this thing is awesome.

Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays! Wife got me a set of pelfreybilt sliders and a gobi rack from the group buy. Excited for them to be done! Hopefully before I deploy in march. Didgy is enjoying her sleeping bag. Ready to put it to the test.

Thank you both for your service...

I too have a quicksand T4R. [emoji106] and also live in so cal.. I hope to see you out on the trails.

I like your gear storage.. do the rtic and action packers fit in the back without folding the seats down?
