I did the tear down and wiring (lights) for my bumper today. Tomorrow it gets installed. The lights really held me up today as I had to wire in the resistors to get the DRLs to work.... and I had no clue what I was doing. Hah!

Bumper and skids are on! Need some minor adjusting of the headlight pieces but it's ready for the lift Wednesday. Woot!

Ok last one for tonight. I am beat! Wheel spacers are on too.

As a side note, currently with the stock suspension.... the drive sucks. The nose diving is even worse with the extra front end weight and it's pretty squirrely. I'm staying off the freeway until the lift is done! Go figure.

All the weight up front is *definitely* noticeable. I had to crank up my coil overs when I added the bumper and then again when I added a winch. It's okay now but long term I really need to swap the coil overs for something with a heavier spring (and properly valves shocks).
[MENTION=89562]bimrunner[/MENTION] recommends 700lb springs which is what I'll go to eventually.

Completely agree.... I got the heavy duty coilovers as recommended from ICON. They go on (with the rest of the suspension) tomorrow. I wanted to get the bumper on first so when I did the suspension I wouldn't have to readjust anything afterwords. Even though I've had it for almost a month, I didn't put the bumper on earlier for this reason... having the stock suspension. It rides like garbage right now. I cannot wait to get the suspension on tomorrow! :driving:

Awesome! I'd love to hear your thoughts on that setup. I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do with it when I first lifted it. Now I have a good idea and just need to spend the money

Well... today was the magic day. I finally stepped into the [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] garage for the first time. Did you know he has airline luggage storage bins?!?! No... seriously. Probably not out of an actual airplane but he has more tools than a master mechanic. I was there, but I didn't get nearly as dirty. I mostly took photos, passed tools, helped look for lost bolts and nuts, took care of the lunch delivery, jammed out to Rush and learned A LOT. I am so fortunate to live fifteen minutes from Jeff.

Ok... on with the lift. This is my first vehicle that I've had lifted or changed suspension and the difference in the ride is AMAZING. I am headed to High Tech tomorrow to see [MENTION=99235]Scott@Hightech[/MENTION] for my alignment. All in all, things went really well and I'm super happy. Again... the ride is awesome.
