I actually called the powder coat shop early this week. They left me a voicemail some time today (no cell phone allowed at work) and said my shackles AND emblem were finished (color is "candy purple"). UNfortunately I cannot pick them up until some point next week (closed for the holiday tomorrow and Monday). Maaaayyybe I can coerce my "jeep" friend to pick them up for me since they are an hour from me and he lives 10 minutes from the place. [emoji13]

Picked up some used BB sliders and Trail rockers from AlexT4R today. More paint stripping is in my future.
Also.... since SOMEONE (ahem... you know who you are) mentioned my truck looks like Rhonda Rousey in ballet shoes.... I ordered tires and wheels today. [emoji13]

Getting my sliders painted. Don't look closely, my painting skills suck horribly. I figure they'll get scratched up at the Cove anyway (not to mention the freakin neighbor's lawn guy started mowing while I was painting... ugh). I will not be stripping these bad boys again. That was a PITA.

HAHAHA....I was biting my tongue. I know you're getting new wheels but I don't think Ive ever seen a lifted Runner with the stock tires on it. Holy shit does it look ridiculous.

I checked on the sliders before I left for work this morning... they actually don't look bad at all. The primer was pretty dry by the time the dude started mowing, so I'm hoping they will be fine. The hammered paint works pretty good at hiding things too. :biggrin1:

I did not measure, but Scott at high tech did after the alignment. I believe he said it was around 39 or 40 measuring from the ground to the fender. I knew I would have to rock the ballet slippers for a short time but also knew that I needed the lift with bigger tires. I might also mention that my stock tires are nearly bald so it looks even more terrible. :mmph:
