Have you weighed your truck lately? Looking like it might be getting close to GVWR.

Finally got things squared away with the tire carrier. I also scrubbed the spare with some simple green which removed a lot of the staining from sitting under the truck for the last 3 years.

Had a great time at Red Clay and discovered some awesome areas for camping and exploring in the future. We had two teams entered and we came in 4th and 6th place out of 50 total teams entered. Pretty respectable for first timers. No real problems or damage other than a couple trucks overheating from the thick mud that was coating everything (easily resolved with a car wash stop). Many vehicles had lots of damage. We had an awesome team. Hope to do another trip in these areas again.

Nice truck, great build. Nice to see it actually getting used too!

Seems like so many of the "Overland AF" builds are pavement only.

Well... I have not updated this thread in months. Not too many changes to the truck since June.... oooo my purple maxxtrax came lol. The rear bumper was the biggie before Red Clay Rally as I wanted the clearance. In July I did make it out to Colorado, and then onto Utah. My apologies for any of you I promised to try and see... but plans changed for me after the first few days. But... Colorado and Utah were both absolutely amazing. I hope to get out there again sooner than later. We moved after I got back to Maryland, to the next county and barely also made it back out to the Cove this year. I am trying to do the winter trip posted in the offroad section and have plans to do Red Clay again next year. I did add a new (used) pony to the herd of driveway Toyotas as a Daily Driver (although I am still driving the 4Runner no less than 2 days per week). Hubby also traded in his Tundra for a used Titan XD Diesel.
