Advice - buy or not?

Hey guys,

First time post here. I've had a couple 3rd gen T4Rs previously. I'd like a 2nd gen, but hard to find anything with lower miles.

This is more of a poll I guess... There's a posting for a 2nd gen that looks interesting:

6 cyl 3.0 L Engine; Manual 5-Speed with 4WD
"Condition: Good"
Rebuilt Engine at 238,000 miles; Current odometer at 291,000
"needs clutch adjustment"

think I could get this for $2500...

I'm not bothered by the high miles. Even more, I'm interested in working on it/tinkering, so high miles is not bad. However, not having the experience with really high mile cars ($200k+), not sure if I should go for it.

I know this is purely opinion, but any thoughts, suggestions and experiences would be highly appreciated.

For what it's worth, I just bought a 95 with 250k on the odometer and allegedly 10k on the rebuilt engine. I'm a skeptical person so I take what people tell me with a grain of salt, especially when I buy something of Craigslist like I decided to.
That being said, it ran well and a lot of red flags and bells didn't go off, so I bought it.
I think this forum is going to be a HUGE help should I run into any problems. I've already downloaded all kinds of manuals off her.
