Advice Needed - Rigid Industries Fog Light Install

I love my Rigid SAE fog lights! They are perfect for fogs. I have had them for over 2 years and have yet to be flashed. I drive in town, up and down hills, and have had no issues as of yet. I haven't experienced the bouncing or shaking that one member has described. Rigids are a solid option.

I got a set of D2s and the Rigid's lower bracket for the '10-'13 models. Great lights, super nice quality. My only issue was the interior switch - it's kinda crappy. I suggest getting an illuminated one that fits into the factory blank spot.

same, i have mine for a few years now and never had anyone flashed me, or bounce around on the trail. Hell I even drive them as my normal head lights

The SAE Rigid's are awesome lights *if* you can aim them down. But, you wont be able too. There is virtually no adjustment. And, they are HEAVY! Mounting sucks. Two shallow holes in plastic using screws. You will get flashed all the time and they will shake and rattle on trails. Anyone that says otherwise is in denial.

No first hand experience with Bajas but I hear even the weakest ones are too bright for the streets.

Morimoto bulbs have some dumba$$ electric fans, motors that are loud and I imagine will die the second they get wet.

KC replacement housings/bulbs (led) in amber suck. Insufficient ammount of dark light. Can't speak for the white ones.

Bottom line? There no really good replacement for our fogs out there that I know of yet. Someone correct me.... I'm still looking.

mine are aimed lower then the headlights, cutoff is well below the headlight cutoff. I agree, the "mounting" system they came up with is very meh. And again, there really isn't much to adjust for aiming them down BUT i did manage to get them pointed down a little. I think i ended up removing them, adjusting the actual bracket they sit in (not the trim piece) and re installing and somehow got them pointed down :fishing:

IMO the rigids have been a great replacement. The same set are on the second vehicle too, originally ran them in my titan for a few years.

Check your aim if you have them. I marked my aim on my garage door with my old fogs before I installed my SAEs.

using the stock screw holes, they were aimed up. I ended up haveing to drill new holes for the out mounting screws, bout a 1/inch lower than stock. That lined my fog lights to the stock mounts.

I have yet to be flashed and have been running them for a few months.
