Advice on airbag replacement

I was involved in a collision today. This broad pulled out in front of me and I hit her at around 20-25mph. Nobody was hurt but both of my airbags went off. Thankfully my AOR bumper sacrificed itself to save the rest of my truck. I was looking for an airbag on ebay and I found a great deal on the passenger side but it came off a '00 T4R and mine is a 98'. The airbags look a bit different, cant tell if the plugs are the same. Can anyone tell me if this newer airbag is compatible.

I dont know airbag question but where are the pictures of her car and your Bumper. I want to see what it could do/handle. LOL.

I'm very interested to see how the bumper handled the collision as well. I'm planning to order one of these bumpers here shortly.

Wanting to look at a wrecked 4Runner is like wanting to see a mutilated baby, shame on you.

As for the bumper, it took it pretty well. It looks like all I need is a new frame mount and it should be good to go. This bumper saved my truck. I give it an A+

Ok so I showed the goods lol. Still want info on the airbags though

A quick look at my EWD collection shows that the A20 plug for the passenger airbag on a '98 is visibly different from that on '99 to '02. It will not plug up.

On a '98, the left (A21) and right (A20) plugs are the same. (They are different on the later models and neither is the same as the '98s.) So if you look at the plug on the driver's bag you can see what the passenger bag plug needs to look like.

Good thread! And yes, the picture makes me want an aftermarket bumper that much more! I'm curious, had it been a little higher impact, would the tube have gone through your tire? Looks like it got close, but could just be the angle.

Glad everyone is ok and that she'll be up and running again soon!

Actually, now that I think about it, I actually have both airbags now, forgot I swapped out my steering wheel lol.

So if you want to buy both or just one or the other shoot me a PM @Park;
