New here. Great forum! I have found a 2000 4 runner with 103,000 miles on it. Everything on it from the photos seem fine. Plan on looking at it this week in person. From what I've been told there is no rust anywhere on it. If there truly is none should I still be concerned about the frame rusting? Oh, they are asking $8844 at a Toyota dealer. Thanks!

Check maintenance records. When and how often fluids have been changed? (front and rear differentials, transmission, transfer case, engine oil) When was the last timing belt change? Did they change idler pulleys and water pump at that time?
Shift in and out of 4wd. Locker? try it too.
Also find out where the vehicle came from. After hurricanes/floods people will buy flooded cars cheap, clean them and sell them in other states.
2000s are one of the best years. late enough that any bugs are worked out (not that there were many, even the firs years of the 3rd gen). The 2000 also doesn't have the VSC/traction control that the 01-02 have. This early traction control is not one of the best things that Toyota built. The were learning and got better in later years.
