Advice on tire upgrade

Ok fellas right now I have 265/70/16s on my rig, I plan on getting the OME 2.5" lift and I would also like to get taller tires.

I know the 285/75/16 are very popular around here, but I think they are a bit too wide for me, especially since I will be doing mostly 90% pavement driving and only 10% offroad.

I'm not exactly sure what my options are here, are there 285/70/16 tires?

Or do I have all of this backwards, is what I'm looking for a 265/75/16 tire? Or a 255/85/16?

Also, I would like to know what are some good 4-season tires (I live in Michigan).:)

Thanks for all the info.

So the 235/85/16 = 32 inch tire?

And the 255/85/16=33"

Is there a tire in between those two that maybe is a 32.5"?

I really like the 235 but would love to have an extra inch.

Is anyone here running the 235s?

How many mpg would I save by going with the 235s over the 285s?

And lastly, what are some good name brands for the 235s (all season)?

1) Yes. It varies a little brand to brand but yes...
2) Yes with the same disclaimer.
3) Not that I know of in 16" rims. Maybe there's some 15" size but 15" rims may not fit over your brakes. Those Treadwrights mentioned in one of the YotaTech threads are very intriguing to me and are probably close to 32.5" in OD.
4) That's why it's such a shame the 255/85/16 isn't more popular. It's a great size but not super popular; options are limited and prices are high.
5) Don't know but there were a few at the those Yotatech links. I think there's more if you look over there.
6) A lot I would suspect... 2 maybe even 4
7) Search around on Tirerack.com. I personally like Bridgestone Revo's and Michelin LTX M/S's. I have nothing against Goodyear SA's, Pirlli ATR's or the Firestone Destination A/T's I just don't have 1st hand experience. Many have had good experiences with all the tires I just mentioned.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm still deciding which tire to go with. I drive about 6,000 miles a year, so the tire I choose is going to last me a very long time!

Ok, about the 255/85/16s, I went to tirerack and they only have 2 kinds, and both of them appear to be mud tires.

Can you or anyone else suggest any brand names for that particular tire?

Thanks.

Also, I don't want to make another thread...what is a good boy lift? And in how many inches do they come in?
