Advice/thoughts, found locked '00 with 113k

After searching for a few weeks I found a "locked", auto, 2000 Limited in very nice shape with 113k.....would prefer 5sp, but the wife is brutal on clutches.....dealer vehicle listed at $7900....figure I can get him down to $7. Seems like a fair deal? I like the body's on the 3rds....the early 4ths don't do it for me and the later 4ths are outta my budget for anything with lower mileage. going to be a DD with low to moderate 4wd use. Truck is stock from what I can tell from pics, not sure of TB/WP or any other maintinace.

7 ain't too bad depending on condition and area. I almost paid 7 for a 98 in cherry condition, but when the mechanic found the rear axle seals leaking, the seller wouldn't budge at all on price. So i walked. Still would have been a great truck, but I'm happier with the one i got later for less, even though the condition wasn't quite as good.

Ya, I know what you mean....good for you on the rear seals.....I also found a 98 with 88k, not locked though. The autos scare me alittle....with slippage and the pink milkshake and overall cost of repair...VS...a clutch replacement
