your thoughts on the 76mm throttle body afe sells? nissan guys had some solid gains with gm throttle bodies once intake, headers, and tune was added. but thats with a v8
Great write up. I’ve also had that intake on for years. I knew that big nasty cone was better than swapping one panel filter for another.
Umm, what’s this tune you guys are talking about?

I have the Vivid Racing Tune, highly recommend I was able to purchase the scanner and do the ECU flash myself rather than having to find "dealer" in my area which there were none. Details here

Fortunately YotaWerx also has a flash kit. I like YotaWerx as they are dedicated to continual improvement and octane learning if you want to take full advantage of 91/93 vs 87.
I haven’t been on here in a while, I looked into a tune years ago but it was all locked up.
Thanks for the info everyone.
Here is a question more relative to this thread,
How is everyone cleaning the Afe DRY filter?
rinse it with soapy water. air dry. dont use compressed air, it might blow holes thru the element.

I have not seen a throttle body for ours, maybe shoot a link over? I would think ours is adequate. As I keep going with the most effective mods that don't make the vehicle loud, I rank them as:
-Intake
-Tune
-Y pipe
-Supercharger
-Headers
-Some sort of cat back but now we are getting quite loud
i think intake, throttle body, headers, y pipe and a dyno tune would be the most power to money. but idk. headers on a v6 is risky lol.
Risky because of sound?
Wow, I just saw this. I swear this is new, lol.
Please let us know how it goes! I would be very certain a tune would be required if coupled with an intake to add some fuel.
