Sounds to me like the shop who installed it forgot to tighten the top nut. It is a nylock nut so i really can't see it loosening up as long as it was torqued properly.

Weather won't cause it to loosen.

I have done it myself three times and even add blue lock tight I think the nut is to big or some crazy **** but I tell you if it comes loss this time (red lock tight ) someone is going to call a raise heck and they need to send me some new shocks I am about done with the BS over two nuts

I can think of at least 3-4 other people that this has happaned to. I did see the nut it's pretty big and it IS a nyloc. I thought they did not come loose either...Maybe he just did not torque it properly.

I'm hoping that this is the last time i have to go back to the shop.

I has to be the nut I Tighten the piss out of them last night with red lock tight so we will see in a few days if they will hold then next step for me is to call and have then send me a new set

Dude there is nothing wrong with your shocks. All you would need to do is get a new stem adapter, not all new shocks.

or possibily a lil more ass....to tighten up those nuts...this happen to me once before and all i done was grabbed a deep well socket a bigger drive, made a "war cry of F**K U!!!!!!" and waa laaa....TIGHT!!!! never came lose again and i have wheeled the **** outta my runner since i put them on...u dont need shocks bro u just need to grab ur nuts and PULL HARDER LOL!!!! Just pickin man!!! so dont get to upset ....lol a lil lock tit on those lockin nuts should def do the trick if you just tighten them biatches up a lil more....:happens:

They are band new with maybe 1000 miles on them all I got to say is if they come loss after red lock tight and my knuckles all bet up for tight the F.... Out if them then it had to be some other crap

Just an update...

Well 200 miles later and one shock has come loss and the nut was gone so I pulled it all the way out to look at it and you can see where to nut look to be pulled off the stud for the looks the nut is to big so I measured the threads look the be a 10m x 1 so I took the other shock off and the nut was a 10m x 1.25 and it was loss as well so now I am off to the hardware store for the right size nuts

On the drive to CO, the driver's side came loose again. I took it to a local shop when I arrived in Ouray (the guys at the Phillips 66 Station...they seemed to know their stuff) and he actually tack welded the U-bracket adapter to the original frame mount. He thinks that the original mount had enough rust on it to allow just a small amount of movement and eventually work the nut loose.

I wheeled the crap out of it while in CO and drove it 1500 miles home. Still tight.

My Installer said something about tack welding too... Hopefully i wont need to go that far...

From what i read here that sounds UN likely.
