aftermarket ac

hello, new to forum so not sure where to post, so ill try here
have a 1987 t4r with aftermarket ac. put on retro fittings and cant get hoses on the fittings to test or charge ( not enough room) took retro fittings off just to test on old r12 valves and still no room to connect hoses. this aftermarket ac has the fittings on the top of compressor not on the side go figure.

sooo, has anyone ever encountered this? any ideas suggs. is there a such thing as a right angle valve (90 degree) to charge high side need some help

Try ultimate yota or one of the other sites that would have some more 1st gen info. In '87 the pick-ups and T4R's were identical. Have you looked at this site in the 1st gen section?
