Hi,
I've just installed a licence-plate camera on my 5gen SR5. So far, I've wired the camera inside the rear-door via the licence-plate lights. So now I'm inside, but I need to find out the best way to wire back to my center console.
There's three part to that project :
1- Wire the rear door up to the roof. I can't wire the camera inside the rear door opening since the cutout aren't aligned so I can't use a fisher to pass my wire. The only way I see right now is to tape the cable on the side of the rear-door.
2- Wire the roof/floor/headliner. Three possibilities, via the headliner, via the carpet floor, or via the roof were the roof racks attach.
The third way seems way easier, however I'm wondering if the camera wire could cause a drainage problem on the roof.
3-Wire to the console. I see two ways : on the passender side door, taped, or inside the engine bay, but I need to drill a hole.
What do you think about that?
