Aftermarket Gas Tank Skid Plate

Hey Dudes,

I've searched and searched and can't find a company advertising an aftermarket gas tank skid for a 1st Gen 4runner. Is there really nobody making one or is my searching abilities a little weak?

I noticed my new to me 85 gas tank skid is a little battle scarred and the tank has a gouge in it. I would like to protect the tank better if possible without having to custom make one. Thanks.

Yes, I did and neither of them make one for a 1st Gen. I find it odd that there's nobody making an aftermarket skid for 1st Gens. I reckon there isn't a big demand or somebody would be capitalizing on the fact they would have a corner on the market with no competitors.

It's looking like I might just have to use a local fabricator to design one for me.

Did that with my sliders and will be doing the same with a gas tank skid as well.

I can find other bits and pieces around but not a ton of options so if you have a local fab shop you trust I'd go there.
