Aftermarket High Pressure lines OEM Steering Rack?

Greetings!

After a quick search there are a dozen or so similar threads but not much in the way of up-to-date results and experiences.

In the middle of replacing my OEM rack with a new OEM one, the high pressure lines are seized and I'm going to replace them.

OEM parts are available, (part number 4441035570....can anyone confirm?), but expensive - and there aren't any suitable candidates at the pick and pull for me to salvage off of.

I've seen several threads referencing aftermarket high pressure lines, but not much in the way of experiences and longevity.

I've read the O'Reily's aftermarket part is crap and will rust within a year or so - so that's out.

RockAuto has several selections, Advance Auto has a few, and Autozone has some selections.

Amayama has OEM from UAE for $177 - I'm HIGHLY leaning this route unless someone can talk me into saving a few bucks and getting a tried and tested aftermarket option.

Who's gone aftermarket on this and has had good results?

I bought one from a member doing a part out for $70.

I bought a new high pressure line from rock auto when I did mine also bought the new low side fitting/stub. My lines were both seized so bad in the rack that I broke the metric flare nut wrench that I just bought for that job....

I bought the no-name cheapest one available which was about half the price of napa/carquest. Doing the job great . Curves were not 100% replicated but it did fit.

No leak, just be sure to put a coat of some type of anti-rust on it if you go cheap.

Edit: go ayanama if you don't need right away as I did, you'll get a better fit and mine cost as much as this.

I was in the same boat, and I ended up finding a company (Sunsong) that makes a full replacement for high and low pressure line that I went with for right around $100.

Then I added the fitting for the low pressure side: brand - Edelmann Part #39123

All told I ended up with full new lines from pump to rack for $120. Installed fine and have been running them since May with no problems.

I broke a wrench on the high pressure line, ready to cut and run (buy new lines)

You still happy with the set up you bought? I can't get the high pressure line off, which I have come to learn is quite common. As is breaking wrenches trying. I like the price point, but don't want to be doing this again anytime soon.

No because the low pressure side had been replaced the due to rust when I first changed my steering rack as a precaution. If it's all EDELMANN, I would not hesitate personally.

I put the complete Susnong assembly on mine when I did my rack and it's been great so far.

$177 for just the high pressure line? I think you may be referring to Amayama. I checked on their site and they will not be shipping orders until 2018, and I kind of need it sooner than that. Is there another place to get OEM at that price?
