Best 99' steering rack option

The aftermarket steering rack that came on my 99 when I bought it is finally dying. No surprise there.

What is the very best steering rack option currently? Is it the 44250-35042 part# the one to get? Is there a better aftermarket or OEM option?

I legitimately could care less what it costs. I want the best and toughest one I can find. if I remember right, Duro bumps has some bushings for them.

It looks like there's a couple of Toyota part numbers out there.

What is there to know on these? I have to get heading out of town and don't have time to do a lot of research this morning.

You can't beat a new OEM rack. Call your closest Toyota dealer parts dept, give them your vin number and tell them to order you a new rack asap. Since your on a time crunch and your not worried about cost you might as well have them install it as well.

No time crunch at all. I should have worded my first post better. Just need to figure out the best way to go. My alignment guy wanted to order one and I had them hold off.

I figured oem was the way, but I hadn't done my homework yet.

Toyota Rebuild-A-Rack Service - Solo Motorsports Solo Motorsports has a rebuild service where they increase the line pressure. It's a pretty new service I believe though so I haven't seen any reviews of how they are.

Many stories of rebuilt racks leaking, mine did after a couple of months. Get an OEM steering rack.

I got a new OEM rack. Buy once, cry once and my time isn't free. Plus you get a new set of OEM ITRs with it which were $400 just by themselves last time I checked.

I got a new oem rack aswell along with the rag joint from Olathe Toyota.

OE Rack OTRE's Rag joint late 21 from Olathe sale price on rack $487 $20 cheaper on Rag joint
OTRE $5-6 cheaper. Nice to see prices not through the roof.
