Aftermarket Rear Suspension Parts worth the cost?

Hey everyone,

I've lifted my 4runner a while back and after upgrading my front/rear suspension and front UCAs, I'm kind of itching to get more parts.

I was wondering aftermarket rear UCAs, rear LCAs, and panhard bar worth the cost?

What are the benefits compared to the stock ones?

Anyone have experience with the Icon set or this ToyTec set?

You can gain a small amount of flex with upgraded rear links. The most benefit from aftermarket rear links comes from the strength. The stock lower links will bend like a twig when bashed against a rock.

I had the toy outfitters links on my old FJ and loved them. Great service and product. You should consider having the link mounts replaced as well as they are a weak point.

Icon also makes some link kits for our 4 runners, the advantage of replacing the stock ones with aftermarket, with the Icons, you change out the stock rubber bushings with hiems, which lets the suspension move more freely.

If it were me, I'd start with the LCA's since they're most susceptible to damage. Then whichever goes on sale/or you find a nice deal on.
