Aftermarket Shift Knob

I would like to ask if anyone has experience with the AJT Designs shift knob vs. the Ellis Precision. Only difference I see is that AJDesigns does not offer the etching/engraving service and it is is a little more in cost. If you other reviews have said that the ADT designs shift knob gets very hot to touch. Thanks.

Black Tundra/5th Gen 4Runner/FJ Cruiser Shift Knob - Automatic Transmi – Ellis Precision

Personally not a fan of either of the AJT designs for the 4Runner/FJ ..
I have Ellisprecision knobs.
Depending upon your environment, the billet aluminum shift knobs will be hot/cold.
I’m in south Louisiana and I’ve never burned my hand on it in the summer…… just sayin’

Thank you I was just curious. I am interested in there blackout knobs for the radio and other controls. Are those not of good quality either do you know?

ellis

I have ellis in my truck. They are nice. My only complaint is they are ice cold in the winter since they are metal.

Another one with the Ellis here. It does get cold but it’s not like it’s a manual and your on the shift all the time

It would be nice if they did the climate knobs like they did for the YJ.

I have the AJT Designs knobs for the radio and heater/A/C controls. They look great and I have never had a problem with them.

The AJT knobs take a bit more time to install because you have to transfer the lighted color tabs from the old knobs to the new ones.
