If you guys and gals that likes them can input about the aftermarket side step bars I would appreciate it....I know they may not as good quality as the OEM but they cost half of the price or less and also look nice.

If its only for looks...would you spend on the OEM or buy the aftermarket ones?

OK...someone is trying to sell me a set of aftermarket tube step bars or nerf bars or however u call it....for 125.00 brand new!!...the guy says it is a close out item he bought them but never used them...it is a very tempting offer due to the fact that I like the tubular steps instead of the running boards..Thinking about it

its hard to tell from the pics, but the ones on the taco seem to mount kinda low. the oem seem like a tighter fit, from just those 2 pics, id say go with the OEM ones.

Bringing back the old thread

Just for FYI...I got a deal for $117 brand new aftermarket step bars Stainless(shipping included). Will check if they fit first before painting..if I like how they look ..may not paint them at all...

I have similar "Festin" (fake Westin) chrome nerf bars. It went well with the chrome Bull bar I had. I know you're in the market for a Bull Bar as well so keep in mind it may look a little awkward to have chrome steps and a black bull bar. My suggestion would be black with black or chrome with chrome.

I sold my Westin Bull Bar and still have the Chrome steps on. I'm at a crossroads with either keeping the steps and getting the chrome steelcraft Bull bar... or getting the steps painted and getting the defiant bar or black bull bar. Honestly, I'm making this too difficult.

Let us know what you decide.

Yes I know what you mean...I have been blacking out everything...lol...but I am gonna put them like that first to see how they look...I havent order the bull bar yet. But I will soon.

Where are you guys finding the aftermarket and oem nerf bars? I like the round ones that come on the newer models, but the dealer wants $900 for the set!!!

Thats just incredible how much toyota ask for those OEM tube steps...thats why I didn't even call them.

If you are not in a hurry u can wait and see if anyone from the forum pops up with a set of used OEM for sale.....they usually sell them under $200.. But if u want them like now now!...u may have to go aftermarket...u can try ebay.

I did find a couple Westin sets on eBay, but didn't like them, guess I'll have to wait and see if any of the oem sets come up for sale.
