Aftermarket stock length LCA's

I've never heard of anyone breaking front LCA's before. Where did it break? I've heard of LBJ's & spindles breaking though. Maybe get LCA skids if you bashed them on rocks.

The sheet metal sheared near the rivets that hold the cast piece that connects to the LBJ. My main complaint with those arms is that piece is only riveted in, not fully welded like the newer toyota trucks.
I believe the damage was caused by bottoming out the suspension too hard, so unfortunately LCA skids won't really help me, but I appreciate the suggestion.

This is the damage I'm experiencing. It happened again this weekend but not as bad as the first time which is what the picture shows.

My first instinct says you're going fast enough to do that, it's time for long travel.
If that's not an option, would it be possible to weld on a plate on the top of the arm to give it more strength?

I have never seen an OEM control arm fail like that. If that part of the arm is failing and you aren't breaking other components, the problem is definitely the control arm. Go down to the junkyard and pick yourself up a couple of control arms and then pick yourself up the white line poly bushing set and replace the bushings in the junkyard arms. That will give you reasonably priced, mid travel performance that will last a good, long time.

P.S. That photo is the poster child for the inferior quality and build of aftermarket components versus OEM.

Good luck with the repairs.
