Any of you who have read some of my posts may see that i stress a bit too much about the 4Runner, but i love it so much and hate to see it in illrepair! A few months ago i blew my driver's side CV joint and tried to replace it myself, well i got sloppy, damaged the dust shield, "the one next to the Diff", and ended up having it replaced. I ordered a new dust shield from Toyota for the shop to put in so everything would be in tip top shape, well, they gave back the dust shield i bought saying there was one in the packaging! I just bought another CV joint to do the passenger side, and there is no dust shield included....... The only thing i can think of is they bent the one that I damaged back into shape and put it back in. From the picture does it look like that silver thing in betweent the diff and CV is the dust shield? I sure hope so. Thanks all and happy holidays.
