I kept fixing problems with my clutch till I realized what the problem ACTUALLY was. I need to replace this.

Its torn right where the clutch master cylinder rod goes through the firewall. This is allowing the pedal to move to much to get it adjusted right. What is this thing called? It looks like the piece goes all the way back behind the gas pedal too. Has anyone pulled this or replaced it?

Thanks!

You have a crack in the clutch pedal bracket? It is a common problem and makes it near impossible to press in the clutch far enough to get in gear when it gets really bad. You can either replace it with a new one, get one from a wrecker or weld the crack. All have been done before and work equally as well as long as the welder knows what he is doing with the thin bracket.
